The LH series of XESS systems is designed to provide extended miles range to any EV long haul truck. These systems are charged using the home base charger and/or exchanged at service centers along the route. The units are available in 500 kWh units and can be arrayed up to 6 or more units depending on the free area of the trailer. These units require a rack system added to the trailer frame. NOTE: a dealer option to install a power connector to the truck and in parallel with your vehicle’s battery output is required, not provided by Daheco. All LH series units rigidly attach into the rack system and plug into the rack’s buss. Each unit in the rack is self-controlled and can be set to be used one unit at a time or all simultaneously together. Installation is by virtue of a powered (future autonomous) cart to insert or remove a unit from the rack and roll it to and from the vehicle. When not attached to the vehicle these units offer backup power for the home base or service center and are charged when inserted into a storage rack. These units communicate to an app to provide system information and visual extension of the rack area on your phone. For some models the dealer option provides an interconnect to integrate the rear sensors and camera into the vehicle’s command center. A future optional HIH or Hydrogen Infused Heat capability can extend the energy output up to 3 time (500 becomes 1500) making a 9 megawatt array possible.
