The NBESSH Technology is a marriage of system components all designed to work in concert to store energy in two forms, UHPG and Heat. UHPG or Ultra-High Pressure Gas, typically “Air” is compressed to extremely high pressure then stored in tanks design to safely hold and handle the pressure. The complete system is housed in a highly efficient enclosure to maximize energy retention while minimizing thermal loses and limit noise, harmonics, and vibration.
In simple terms, an electric source such as the power grid, solar, or wind powers a multiple stage compression of air to achieve a target pressure for storage. When fully charged the compression stops and the system’s controls monitor both itself and the electric source. If the electric source goes down or turns off the system transitions to generator mode using the stored UHPG & heat to power the system in reverse creating electric power.
